SHORT DESCRIPTION

This trip will break all your stereotypes about Halkidiki as an exclusively tourist resort. The peninsula will open for you a completely different perspective: history, mythology, ethnography. Over the centuries, the unique location and natural resources of the Halkidiki peninsula have created a huge number of myths, legends and traditions. It could not be otherwise, as the picturesqueness of the peninsula excited the people from the time of the first settlements. Fascinating landscapes, proximity to the sea, mild cozy climate are some of the many factors that have attracted settlers from the Neolithic era. However, this area reached its peak and its recognition during the Hellenistic period, the purpose of the trip is to show you this great heritage. The archeological sites that you will visit are well “hidden” from tourists and are not included in the usual routes. The well-known names of the seaside resorts will acquire a completely different meaning for you and will remain forever associated with the names of Philip II, Alexander the Great, Socrates, Alcibiades, Aristotle, Brasidas, Herod, Hercules and other heroes of Greek mythology and history.
